New York dairy farmers receive lower prices for milk in January

Dairy farmers in the Empire State received an average of $20.30 per hundredweight of milk sold during January, down 40 cents from December, but still $2.50 higher than the year-ago period. That’s according to a report today from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, New York Field Office. 

N.Y. manufacturers’ business conditions improve again in January

New York manufacturers reported improving business conditions in January, including increasing orders and higher selling prices, according to a survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.



Profit tumbles more than 74 percent at Anaren

Profit at Anaren, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANEN) slumped nearly 75 percent in the company’s fiscal second quarter to $1.2 million, or 8 cents a share. Net sales for the period fell 17.7 percent from the same period last year to $35.7 million.
