Polaris keeps growing in 2011


Polaris Library Systems added more customers and library locations in 2011, finishing the year with a total of 59 signed contracts, up from 27 in 2010.

The company, based in Salina, added 285 library locations and 41 new customers for the year. The firm said it has grown in recent years by expanding its customer base and growing business with existing clients.


Plans move forward for Ithaca-area wind farm



Pipestone, Minn.–based Juhl Wind, Inc. signed a development services agreement with Black Oak Wind Farm, LLC near Ithaca for a proposed 15 to 30 megawatt facility set to open during the third quarter of 2013.

US Airways to use Sensis system at three hubs


US Airways will deploy Saab Sensis Corp. technology at three of its hubs around the country.

The airline plans to begin using Sensis’ Aerobahn airport surface management system at Charlotte-Douglas, Philadelphia, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airports. The systems combines information such as flight schedules and planned departure and arrival gates with aircraft and vehicle surveillance.
