Dee Moerman has joined Daniel T. Dreimiller, CPA, P.C., as senior accountant. Moerman will be responsible for various accounting and income-tax services in all industries served by the firm. She is a certified QuickBooks adviser and has extensive experience with sales and payroll taxes. Prior to joining the firm, Moerman was a senior accountant in the small-business services department with ParenteBeard, LLC. She has 13 years public accounting experience.

John D. Burke, CPA, partner at Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC, has been selected to serve as a member of PKF North America’s Accounting and Auditing Committee for 2010. PKF North America is a membership association comprised of 86 independent accounting and consulting firms in North America that serve middle-market business and individual clients. The Accounting and Auditing Committee members are leaders in their field, chosen based on their depth of knowledge and experience, says PKF.

Green & Seifter, CPAs, PLLC has hired Timothy J. Hammond as staff accountant in the firm’s tax practice. Hammond is a former sales and use excise tax audit assistant with New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a master’s degree business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics, with a philosophy minor.

Oneida Savings Bank has appointed Martha J. Ano comptroller in its finance department. She recently joined the bank after several years with Oneida Ltd., where she held various positions in accounting and management. Ano graduated from Utica College, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is a licensed and registered CPA in New York State.
